Major Game was founded by Angela R. Lewis, Dr. Rodney Lewis and Ronald Lewis in the summer of 2005. Growing up they became infatuated with the game of basketball and through the love of dedicated parents Leonia Lewis (Mae) and Sylvester Lewis (Jr.) they were able to acquire full athletic scholarships to play college basketball. The name Major Game was originally spelled “MaeJr. Game” but they changed the spelling of the name for clarity purposes. In 2011 Major Game sought new direction and focus by expanding its efforts.
Major Game remains a tribute to their parents who encompass the dedication and sacrifice that has ultimately led to their success. Most importantly, Sylvester and Leonia understood the significance of education and encouraged their children to become lifelong learners. Today they give back to youth as educators and through teaching basketball.
